ctype_upper -- Check for uppercase character(s)

bool ctype_upper ( string text )

Checks if all of the characters in the provided string, text, are uppercase characters.

Returns TRUE if every character in text is an uppercase letter in the current locale.

pitty, there is no function to do the same with numbers and spaces

I offer this function

isSpaceAndNumeric( $testStr )
{
 return ereg_match( $testStr, "/^"."\A[\d\s]++"."/i" );
}

explanation:

this function start scanning from string begining, then mathes all digit and space characters from 1 to any number of occurence times.
